Standing together

Welcome to I Believe Her Society, where we champion advocacy and support for survivors. Join our community as we work towards a safer and more equitable future. We're glad you're here to be a part of our mission.

Our mission

We support survivors of domestic, sexual, and interpersonal violence by providing trauma informed system navigation, emotional support, creative healing opportunities, and survivor led public education. We ensure survivors are not alone in the justice system, including in civil and family litigation where support is often inaccessible.

Our advocacy

We advocate for survivors who are often left without support in the systems meant to protect them. Many resources disappear once criminal charges are not laid or when abuse shows up in civil or family court. We are here for the survivors who fall through those cracks.

We help survivors understand the processes they are facing, prepare questions for professional appointments, and feel supported when navigating decisions that can impact their safety and future. We focus on emotional presence and clear guidance so survivors never have to stand alone.

Our advocacy is grounded in belief, consent, and respect. We speak up where silence has caused harm. We amplify survivor voices. We push back on the idea that survivors must fight alone.

We believe survivors first.

We stay through the storm.

No one heals alone.

Awareness campaigns

We believe in changing the way survivors are seen and supported. Our awareness work will focus on the parts of the justice system where survivors are often left alone and unheard.

We plan to launch public education campaigns that share survivor informed knowledge, bring attention to civil and family court abuse, and encourage communities to believe survivors first.

This work is just beginning. Awareness efforts will grow as we build our foundation. If you want to support future campaigns or share your lived experience in a trauma informed way, we would love to connect with you. 💜

Support groups

We are developing safe, trauma informed support groups for survivors to connect, feel believed, and find community. No one is pressured to share more than they want. Belief, consent, and dignity guide every gathering.

Support groups are coming soon. If you would like to be notified when they launch, please reach out. 💜

Policy change

We advocate for safer systems and stronger protections. We push for vulnerable sector screening in positions of trust, better responses to violence in civil and family courts, and trauma informed practices that center survivor safety. Change is necessary and we will help create it.

About us

I Believe HER Society supports survivors of domestic, sexual, and interpersonal violence with emotional support and help navigating the system. We focus on the places where survivors are often left alone, especially in civil and family legal processes where resources can be limited and systems can feel overwhelming.

We believe survivors first. We stay through the storm. We walk beside survivors with dignity, consent, and respect. Our support is grounded in trauma informed principles and survivor leadership.

We help survivors understand the steps ahead, prepare questions for police, lawyers, and court workers, and feel supported through decisions that impact their safety and future. We listen without judgment. We do not rush healing. We help survivors find connection, information, and community care.

I Believe HER Society was created by a survivor who understands how isolating these systems can be. We exist to make sure survivors are not forced to fight alone.

No one heals alone. 💜
